Overview

JOB SUMMARY:  The Data Analyst will optimize the organization's fleet operations. This position is responsible for analyzing transportation costs, developing cost-effective solutions, and ensuring efficient utilization of the fleet. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset to fleet procurement, combining analytical expertise with technology integration and reporting.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Analyze extensive fleet data, including but not limited to maintenance costs and vehicle utilization rates to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements.

 

  • Develop strategies for managing and reducing fleet-related expenses.

 

  • Stay in alignment with current market trends, advancements in fleet technology, and industry best practices. This involves conducting regular market research to inform procurement strategies and fleet management decisions.

 

  • Develop and implement procedures related to fleet management, ensuring they align with organizational goals and comply with regulatory standards.

 

  • Evaluate effectiveness of master records maintenance and quality of information.

 

  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, such as logistics, finance, and operations teams, to align fleet strategies with broader organizational objectives.

 

  •  Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Education and experience equivalent to:

 

Education/Certification:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree: A bachelor's degree is usually required, preferably in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Economics, or Finance.

 

  • Relevant Coursework: Coursework or training in areas such as data analysis, procurement, supply chain management, transportation, and logistics can be particularly valuable.

 

  • Additional Certifications (Optional but Beneficial): Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or similar credentials.

 

 Experience:

 

At least 1 year of experience in data analysis within procurement, supply chain, or a related field.

 

Demonstrated experience in data analysis and the ability to interpret large data sets to make informed decisions.

Familiarity with data analysis tools and software is essential.

The Data Analyst requires a blend of analytical skills, strategic thinking, and practical knowledge of supply chain and fleet management. The position involves continuous interaction with various departments and external vendors, demanding strong communication and collaborative skills.
